Picnic in the Park Engagement Session - Becca+Jeff

Becca and Jeff love three things most: music, food, and each other. Jeff proposed to Becca at a picnic on a hill, over looking the hills of Texas. So there was no better idea than to do a picnic engagement shoot! Becca does not half do anything, she went all out and got everything from a bouquet of peonies flowers (my favorite), special bottles of wine from their anniversary and friends, their favorite breakfast taco from Taco Deli, and even included Becca's deviled egg company, Eggcetera! Becca and Jeff will be getting married at Green Pastures in Austin in December.

If their engagement session was this fun I definitely can't wait for the wedding!!!!!

A Football Themed Engagement Session - Jackie+Kevin

Jackie and I have been friends since we were 5 years old. When I moved to Texas in 2001 we kept in touch through snail mail, then email, myspace (yes I will admit I had a myspace at one time), and then through Facebook. Back in September she texted me in all CAPS: HE PROPOSED!!!!!! I immediately asked when is the big day? June 18, 2011! I then realized and began to tear up because I was already booked for that date. And in no way was I going to cancel on the coolest client ever. So that was that.

Then this past January the couple who I was booked with called and decided to cancel because they were moving their wedding to Washington, D.C. Bitter sweet moment but I immediately texted Jackie and said in all CAPS: GUESS WHAT!???! And she responded: You can shoot my wedding? Its like she was waiting for me to say that or she can read my mind! I prefer to think the former.

With my busy schedule the past few months I wasn't able to fly to Santa Cruz to do a full on engagement session for them so we decided to do a quickie as soon as I arrived the week of the wedding. Jackie and Kevin will be getting married THIS Saturday at the Sand Rock Farm in Aptos, Ca! Check out a few of my favorite pictures from their "quickie engagement session":

America's Next Top Model Wedding Day Inspiration

I am not afraid to admit I watch America's Next Top Model, its a guilty pleasure I just cant turn off! I mostly like to watch if for the photoshoots but the drama is so addictive at times. This past season the show traveled to Morocco where they did a photoshoot with a male model and as I was watching it I realized these poses are so awesome they could be formals on a wedding day! I love flipping through wedding and fashion magazines for inspiration! Maybe I will simulate one of these poses during my upcoming wedding this weekend in Santa Cruz, California. Stay tuned to find out!

A May Day Engagement Session - Michelle+Mike

Michelle knew I was the photographer for her wedding before we even met and when she told me this I knew she was the client for me! What also sold it for me was the fact that she loves purple so much that it will be one of her colors on her wedding day! I l.o.v.e. purple! Michelle and Mike will be getting married in October at The Woodlands Resort!

We started out at Reliant Stadium where the Houston Texans played and then finished up the session at Herman Park where we had fun in the rose garden with balloons and dodged golf balls at the golf course. I cant wait to spend your special day with you guys!

International Wedding Photography Promo

If you know me you know that I love 2 thing most: Traveling and photography. My best friend just moved to Australia so I thought I would do a few promotions!

1.) If you live in Australia and are getting married I will shoot your wedding for free! Included in this package is 8 hours of coverage, an hour engagement session as soon as I arrive, and a High Res CD with all the images!! The only requirement on your part is my travel fee! The travel fee includes air travel and my hotel stay if your wedding is more than an hour outside of the Melbourne area!

2.) I also want to travel else where! If you are getting married in any place other than Australia I want to shoot your wedding for free too! The only requirement on your part is the travel fee for me and my second shooter! You provide us with air fare and our hotel stay and we will shoot your wedding for free! This package includes 8 hours of coverage, an hour engagement session as soon as we arrive, and a High Res CD with all the images!

A Fabulous Houston Engagement Session - Nadia+Jon

Last month I was checking my Google Analytics and I saw there was 4 unique views from Indonesia. A few days later Nadia contacted me saying she would be in town from Indonesia and wanted me to shoot their engagement session! We started out at Market St in The Woodlands, then traveled to Mercer Arboretum, we then traveled over to an abandoned house in Old Town Humble, we ended our shoot at a field where we had a picnic at sunset! I am so smitten with this couple, they are so cute! Nadia and Jon will be getting married in Indonesia next year! Can you tell how adorable they are?
